Tears – poetic expression
Within each teardrop my universe is revealed
Droplets blossom, flowering pain, sorrow and loss is freed.
Weeping in a sun-shower causing peace
A thunderstorm of emotions are released.
As I try to replay my fears.
There’s joy in this excretion action
A purity in this cleansing reaction.
Not all tears come from disaster,
There are moments of joyful laughter.
Splitting sides of cheerful mirth
Gasping, shacking for all it’s worth.
The beauty of this waterfall
Lies in being human after-all.
Sometimes we apologize for our tears as we get older,
Expressing when deep feelings arrive… is healthy.
Sometimes we don’t know what to do when people cry…
During Covid, not being able to hug to support… or to ask what is happening,
What do we do… sometimes we don’t know what to do, what to say.
Why is it that some people can cry easily and sometimes not? What are we hiding?
Sharing what is behind the tears can help us know what is happening…
It brings connection.
Crying can help us laugh. Laughter can help us cry…
Strong release of a cry can be therapeutic…
Part of the healing… The release…
Brave to release what’s in there….
Do you cry in front of strangers?
I wonder when we feel emotions around us, that it brings our tears to the surface.
My emotions were once so far at the back I couldn’t find them…
Practice expressing how you feel…
Sometimes its just giving people the space to release the tears…
Sometimes it’s an explosion that is so powerful – it just needs to come out
You don’t understand it – it just needs to come out….
Tears of frustration..
It’s hard when your partner cries…
I don’t cry often but when I do, it is like an explosion… and I felt exhausted afterwards…
Is crying different to having tears? Yes…
Tears lead us to places we can visit to feel – but we don’t need to live there…
Emotions at an intense level can create tears…
Crying – physical representation of what is happening in your head…
Crying is an action… We may not cry but we may do a different action.
How do you feel when you cry in public or in front of strangers?
When someone cries they don’t need someone to fix it…
Sometimes people don’t know why they are crying…
Sometimes others don’t need to understand…
When someone is in pain – it takes you back to your own pain –
and while it may look like empathy it may actually be projection….
When a baby cries… there’s a reason… Pain – pain creates tears…
Pain can be physical, emotional or a response to onions…
Tears a cleanse… Tear ducts to clear things out…
How are tears formed? Like sweating … tears another way water is released…
Tears of laughter
tears of joy
when in pain
the tears flow down
How do we know
what the tears are for?
we look to the heart
right in the core
Tears can be from tears
in our happiness strands
or from a loss
which no one understands
Tears and stare
use the same letters
They both use the eyes
But they have no l’s
Tears give us a way
To show dearly
What we wish to express
From our heart clearly
So, what can we learn
from all this expression?
Is not to hold back and
let tears fill the ocean
